Perfection is in the Proof
“The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy. Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat. The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults. Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”
Psalm 19:1-14 ESV
OUR DAILY INFLUENCE- Please read Psalm 19 every morning this week
Monday Morning - read Psalm 19
Verses 1-6 “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. Examine Ourselves: In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. In Genesis, the first thing God does when setting His eyes upon His creation is to start with nature. He begins with divine light and then quickly moves to divide the earth from the heavens. He then focuses on the separation of oceans and land, allowing the proud and mighty roaring waves to only come so far onto the shores of the earth and to return back to the sea with only a humble whisper, knowing the author of authority. After God raised the earth to form the mountains and valleys, He became its Master Gardener, creating all its wonderful beauty, which reflected His glory in complete silence. Some stood tall, reaching to the heavens, while others were so tiny that the naked human eye could not see His intricate and perfect work. God then demonstrates the power of His unlimited reach by putting each star and planet in their perfect alignment and motion, creating finite galaxies with expansions of space separated by distances so far that the greatest of human minds could hardly fully understand the mysteries of the heavens. Now, if all that He has created in nature glorifies Him simply by their existence without any effort on their part, how much more could we glorify Him in the way He has created us? How do you glorify your Creator?
Be Reminded Today; God has demonstrated to us in so many ways simply through His creation that He is God and has absolute authority, wisdom, knowledge, beauty, power and is to be trusted, glorified and honored in all that He says And all that He does. I encourage you today to take a brake, pull over in your car, step outside from your office or simply look around and see the evidence of what He can do and what He has done for you.
Tuesday Morning- read Psalm 19
Verses 7-9 The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether.
Examine Ourselves; Simply said, the Lord is perfect in all that we need.. He is the true Cure of all that ails us. He is the Cure of all foolishness, He is the Cure of all the things in life that make us blind, He is the Cure to false teaching, He is the Cure that cures for eternity. He is the Cure from unholy to holy. He is the Cure that revives us from death.
Be Reminded Today; God’s instructions are the only perfect cure for our lives. Be reminded when we go against His law you are simply going against what is best for you. His laws are not to keep you from living a full life. They are there so you can live a full life and more. Today think about the times you went against God's instruction, then think about all the times He bailed you out of your rebellious decisions. Now praise Him for it.
Wednesday Morning- read Psalm 19
Verses 10-11 More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
Examining Ourselves; “By them is your servant warned” when you read the text it sounds a little bit like a threat but it's actually not. What David is saying is the laws of God serve as warnings much like a lighthouse warning a ship of the danger it is about to approach. God’s instructions will allow us to be proactive in the schemes of the devils and those who might tempt us to seek the things that will cause us harm. So what good is all the riches in the world when you continue to lose them because you fail to follow God’s warnings.
Be Reminded Today; Yesterday you thought of the situation that you got yourself into because of going against God’s instruction and leaning on your own knowledge. Today do the opposite, think about the way God’s instructions have blessed you and possibly others in your life.

Thursday Morning- read Psalm 19
Verses 12-13 Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults. Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression.
Examining Ourselves Only God sees us for who we truly are. We can examine ourselves and truly attempt to seek our faults and our sin, but David knew that he was capable of not seeing or at times dismissing his sins through his own justification. David knew that God could see all of David and David knew that God was the only one who could forgive him of those sins. But David didn't stop there He also knew he must ask God for protection of sin and to help in reminding David to meditate on God’s word day and night.
Be Reminded Today; In order to know God's word you must commit to reading God’s word. Reading a verse a day may be a great start but it will not sustain you in the diversity of Satan's tactics. Commit to a reading plan to take you through the bible. If you have already done that, do it again. Start Today.
Friday Morning- read Psalm 19
Verse 14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”
Examining Ourselves We could never pay back God or the Son for what they have provided for us. But what we can do is to live a life that honors all that has been given to us. Our gratitude is shown by our actions.Pauls does a great job in reminding us this type of gratitude in Romans 12:1-2

A Living Sacrifice
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Be Reminded Today; This weekend identify one weakness in your walk with Christ and His laws. We all have one no matter how mature you are in Christ. If you can’t identify one, ask your wife. :) Acknowledge that weakness to God and make a plan to address it. I would like to encourage you to reach out to another brother or two and gang up on that weakness then take it down in prayer.
If you are interested in joining our Men's Journey group, please inquire. Let us know by sending us a text and we will be in contact with you. 559-936-3256
