2 of 5 Final Thoughts Series -Dropped from the sky..

One of the most influential characteristics that Jesus taught and walked was serving one another. He insisted that  we put others before ourselves. Always considering the other person before making comments or taking action. I think we all can honestly say we struggle at this. Yes we may do it out for some but Christ said we are to do it to all. Most men come to a journey group not really knowing what to expect. Most of the time the one who invited them just says, “I can’t explain it, you just have to come and experience it for yourself. “ And when the Holy Spirit reaches into the heart of this individual he quickly learns and truly experiences the contagious desire to out do one another in serving each other. Today's final thought is from a brother who experienced just that. He was invited by a longtime friend and decided to come to one of our sessions. . What happened next was perfectly orchestrated by the Spirit. In less than an hour God opened  his heart and he found a group of brothers who he connected to and they connected to him. From that morning on we have been blessed to have him as a brother ever since. Last Saturday we had a moment to share with one another out gratitude for having each of these men on our lives. This brother in Christ shared a story of struggle and spiritual warfare that he had experienced in the past week. Everything seemed to be  closing in all around him. He reached  out to his brothers  as we are to do and asked for prayer. So what did we do?  We  prayed and prayed and prayed.  Prayers where answered and he was carried through by God’s faithfulness. But here is the crazy part. After these trials he went to do some thrift shopping and when leaving the store and walking through the parking lot to his car he looked down and saw a little box. So he picked it up and read what was written on top. When he read it he could believe it. The top of the box said “ “Love Eternal” and when he opened it the box contained a small cross necklace. He smiled and said to the rest of us, “God can drop a literal gift from the sky!” Amen. Times up!!!
