Contribution vs Giving
CONTRIBUTION
Focus on the word 'contribution.' It seems different from the word 'giving' when looking up this verse (Rom. 12:13) in different translations. I found different words used in comparison to 'contribution,' such as share, communicate, relieve, distribute, the need to help, communicating, administer, and add to. As men abiding in Christ, we are transformed and renewed into a new nature, and a sense of obedience forms in us that stems from the gratitude when the gospel penetrates your heart. This forms a Christ-centered perspective through our personal life experiences. The more we experience the gospel, the more gratitude we have, and this gratitude instinctively produces the desire to contribute. Our 'trials,' or 'experiences,' cause us to thrive on an abundance of Jesus, which overflows, and we must share from that abundance. Consider it all joy when we face trials. To thrive is to contribute to Christ's kingdom without hesitation, versus surviving, which is contributing to Christ's kingdom with hesitation.
