Restless because you were made for more….. 

Two nights ago, I was praying with several men during an influencers event. I was listening to one of the men’s prayers when he said this phrase: “We are merely restless servants of God.” That phrase really made an impression on me regarding the influencer’s ministries. When I have the opportunity to share with other men about this ministry, many of them also share how they have an uncontrollable and indescribable desire to do something for God. They have some ideas of what that service might be, but they can’t quite place their finger on it. Some have even shared that they struggle to find a place where they fit in when it comes to expressing and living their love for Christ. I don’t necessarily see that as a problem in these men’s lives. I see it as a gift from God. What I recognize in them is that the Spirit of God has been provoked in their lives, awakened if you will, and has caused a desire to serve and give. In other words, a “restlessness.” When God shows a man of God to another man of God, they can’t help but be drawn to one another. This is one of the many parts that the influencers ministry provides. It’s not a group or program; it’s a collection of individual men, with individual testimonies, individual gifts, and individual journeys, all walking and supporting one another in the same direction towards the same Jesus. I encourage you to come join us as a living sacrifice in serving the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Time's up!  Romans 12

Warriors in Prayer-Like the Wave of the Sea... A few months ago, I heard a song with a lyric that caught my attention - empty prayers. I couldn't help but think back on my prayer life. How many times had I prayed to you, God, out of obligation, going through the motion without sincerity or consideration of the honor of whom I am able to petition to? I became a man who would approach the throne of the Almighty God, offering empty prayers. I was the praying warrior tossed by the waves of James 1:6. I became resentful when always being asked to pray at events and family functions.
